Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
Prachar is operated by [Legal name not set]. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It is written to meet India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email or phone number, and the businesses (workspaces) you belong to and your role in each.
- Your business details: what you enter in Settings — name, type, description, address, phone, website, brand colours.
- Content you create: post briefs, captions, images you upload or the designs Prachar makes, schedules and approvals.
- Connected social accounts: when you connect Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile or YouTube, we store the access tokens those platforms give us (encrypted) and basic page/account details (name, id, picture). We use them only to publish what you schedule, show your comments, messages, reviews and results, and reply when you tell us to.
- Public information you ask us to check: your Google Maps listing and website, and similar nearby businesses, for the Google score.
- Usage and security logs: which features are used, AI credits, audit logs of important actions, and technical logs needed to keep the service secure.
How we use it
- To run the features you use: creating, approving, scheduling and publishing posts; the inbox; analytics; Google score; review QR codes.
- To write drafts with AI. The text you give (brief, business details) is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the draft. AI providers we use do not train on your data.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your connected social accounts for anything you did not ask Prachar to do.
Who we share with
- Service providers that run Prachar for us: Vercel (hosting, India region), Supabase (database and file storage, India region), Anthropic (AI drafts), Google (Maps and PageSpeed checks), Resend (email), Razorpay (payments).
- The platforms you connect (Meta, Google, LinkedIn), only to do what you asked — for example, publishing a post you scheduled.
- People in your business: members you invite see that business’s content according to their role.
- Authorities, only when Indian law requires it.
Facebook and Instagram data
When you connect a Facebook Page or Instagram account, we use Meta’s permissions only to list your Pages and Instagram accounts, publish posts you approve, read comments and messages so you can reply in Prachar, and read insights to show your results. We do not use Meta data for advertising profiles or share it with third parties beyond the providers above. You can disconnect at any time in Prachar (Accounts) or in Facebook settings (Business Integrations); see Data deletion.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete a business or your account, we delete its content, uploaded images and connected-account tokens within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment invoices).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit; social account tokens are additionally encrypted at rest. Each business’s data is isolated, and every action is checked against your role.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by writing to info@utsavsamithi.in. We reply within 30 days.
